Certification marks
A certificate or quality mark shows that something meets certain requirements. The products of FSH DIRECT contain one or more quality marks or markings, to indicate at a glance that the product has been found to be in order by an independent, expert body.
Many products placed on the market in the European Economic Area (EEA) must be CE marked. It indicates that the product meets legal requirements. For example in the field of safety, health and environment.
The purpose of the CE marking is, on the one hand, to promote free trade within the Member States and, on the other, to guarantee safety. The CE marking also makes it easier to compare products from different countries.
The FM approval is a quality mark issued by the world’s largest insurance company FM Global. They specialize in damage prevention and risk analysis, based on the principle of avoiding damage.
FM Global specializes in independent certification and approval of commercial and industrial products. They take care of certification and testing of fire protection products and fire detection products.
UL (Underwriters Laboratories) is a world leader in testing, inspection, certification, auditing and validation. The UL quality mark is the most accepted quality mark in the United States and appears on 22 billion products annually.
The National Fire Protection Association is a trade association from the United States, including a number of international members, that creates and maintains private, copyrighted standards and codes for use by local governments. The association was formed in 1896 by a group of insurance companies. The goal was to standardize the then new fire sprinkler systems. It is the largest fire safety organization and has nearly 80,000 members worldwide.
